Rick came out to look at my air unit and explained everything to me on how the process works, what to expect, how much air units run and also told me about air conditioner evaporator. After talking to him I know a lot more about the air units, very pleased with the way he explained things.

We're Your Neighbors, Not a Big-Box Company

Cool Down Heating and Air is a family-minded, owner-operated HVAC company based in Claremore, serving Green Country since 2019. Owner Ricky Roberts grew up in the trade, riding along on his dad’s service calls as a kid, and brings 25+ years of hands-on experience to every job. No subcontractors, no runaround, just honest work from people who live here too.

Ricky rebuilt this company from the ground up around one idea: do right by the customer every single time. That means wearing booties and laying tarps in your home, giving free second opinions, and never installing anything he wouldn’t put in his own family’s house. When he’s not on a job, you’ll find him coaching his son’s 10U baseball team or giving back to the community, from Claremore High School softball to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol and a Special Olympics program that teaches kids with special needs how to fish and hunt. We’re also proud members of the Claremore Chamber of Commerce.

Our promise is simple: we’ll always treat you like a neighbor and your home like our own. We’ll tell you the truth, do clean work, and stand behind every job, so the only thing you have to think about is being comfortable again. That’s how Ricky built this company, and it’s how we’ll always run it.

AC or Furnace: Repair or Replace? Here's How to Decide

Homeowners often struggle with the decision to repair an old system or invest in a new one. If your unit is under 10 years old and requires minor fixes, repairing it is usually a good option. However, since most central systems last 15-20 years, frequent repairs can become costly. A modern, high-efficiency system can greatly lower your energy bills, which often account for half of a home’s usage. We offer honest assessments and a free second opinion to help you decide.

How often should I have my HVAC system serviced?

Most systems last between 15 and 20 years, depending on maintenance, usage, and install quality. If yours is over 10 years old and repairs are adding up, replacing it with a newer, more efficient unit is often the smarter long-term move. We’ll give you an honest opinion either way.
